OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An Oklahoma County district judge is dismissing a lawsuit filed by a teacher's organization and three school districts against the state Legislature and two legislative leaders.

State House Speaker Todd Hiett says the lawsuit by the Oklahoma Education Association and the Jenks, Western Heights and Foyil school districts was dismissed by Judge Daniel Owens.

The $1-billion lawsuit against the state Legislature, Hiett and Senate President Pro Tem Mike Morgan said the state has failed to adequately fund education.
