OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Another Oklahoman has died because of the heat and is the 11th victim of the current heat wave in the state.

Kevin Rowland with the state medical examiner's office says an 88-year-old Mooreland woman died of heat-related causes after falling and breaking her hip while checking the water level at a pond on her land.

Relatives found the woman Wednesday when they went to check on her after she failed to answer her phone.

Temperatures reached 106 degrees in the Mooreland area Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says parts of Oklahoma will see some relief from the heat today as rain moves through some areas but temperatures will return to the low 100s during the weekend.
