KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) Oklahoma State tackle Corey Hilliard says head coach Mike Gundy clearly is no longer a rookie head coach.

During the Big 12 Conference media day yesterday in Kansas City, Hilliard says he's seen a big difference in Gundy during OSU's spring drills.

Elevated to the head coaching position for the first time in his career, Gundy struggled at the helm of the Cowboys. After three straight bowl appearances, Oklahoma State lost its first five conference games on its way to a 4 and 7 finish.

It didn't help that the Cowboys lost top rusher Vernand Morency to the NFL in the offseason and quarterback Bobby Reid to injuries in their fourth game.

Gundy is the school's all-time passing leader and former offensive coordinator.

Oklahoma is among four schools whose players and coaches will meet with the media today.
