WICHITA, Kan. (AP) The Tulsa Drillers have 15 hits and rally from an eight run deficit to beat the Wichita Wranglers 16 to 11.
Wichita led 8 to 0 Monday night after a first inning outburst highlighted by Chris Lubanski's grand slam. The Drillers answered with a five run fourth inning, keyed by a grand slam by Joe Gaetti.
Tulsa scored four runs in the fifth to take the lead. Ian Stewart delivered a 2 run double and Christian Colonel followed with a 2 run home run to put the Drillers ahead 9 to 8.
Solo home runs by Alex Gordon in the fifth and Dee Brown in the sixth gave Wichita the lead again at 10 to 9.
Tulsa's Joe Koshansky hit his Texas League leading 25th home run of the season in the top of the seventh, a 2 run shot, but Lubanski's solo home run in the bottom of the inning tied the score at 11 all.
Seth Smith's eighth inning single scored Doug Bernier to give Tulsa the lead for good, and the Drillers added four insurance runs in the ninth, keyed by consecutive triples by Jordan Czarniecki and Alvin Colina.
