American Airlines and the Transport Workers Union were presented with the Circle of Excellence award from the American Red Cross.

That's because American Airlines has been sponsoring blood drives for 50 years. The Red Cross says its the longest running blood drive in the region.

Their blood has helped over a quarter of a million patients.
