The state Veterinary Board has launched an investigation into what some call a puppy mill in Oklahoma County.

The News on 6 first told you about the story out of Harrah last week. The board got a warrant and called in Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputies along with a Humane Society worker from Texas. They searched the home of 77-year old Betty Foster, looking for evidence of a puppy mill.

Authorities say what they found was consistent with those claims. Jay Sabatucci with the Humane Society of the United States: "a lot of feces laying around, a lot of old dog food, a lot of rotting dog food. It's not a very conducive environment for animals or people.â€

Last week, some of the animals taken from Foster's home were brought to Bristow for some tender loving care.

Foster's family denies they did anything wrong.
