A burglary suspect is behind bars after Tulsa Police caught him leaving a Tulsa elementary school early Thursday morning.
Officers were responding to an alarm at Cooper Elementary, in the 1800 block of East 123rd East Avenue, just after 5 AM. They surrounded the building and arrested Blake Hughes as he was leaving the building.
Tulsa Police say it appears he broke a window to get inside and damaged some file cabinets and electronics.
The suspect did have a slight injury. Police believe he cut himself when he broke the window and climbed through it into the school.
