Tulsa Police are investigating Tulsa's 40th homicide of the year. A 28-year old man who was found in his apartment, apparently stabbed to death.
It happened at about 12:45 AM Saturday in the 700 block of South Troost. Officers say they found Charles Fowler dead in a back bedroom with apparent stab wounds.
They arrested the man's live-in girlfriend, 34-year-old Jacquenette Brown. Police believe the two were arguing when the stabbing happened.
Officers say in a police report Brown told them Fowler was hitting her when she grabbed the knife.
In a police report, Brown says Fowler kept coming towards her, so she swung, stabbing him in the chest. Tulsa Police say Brown then called 911.
She was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaint of second degree murder.
