An investigation is over for a Cherokee County Police Chief and one of his officers. It's a story "The News on 6" first brought you last week out of Hulbert.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says it's forwarding its findings to the State Attorney General's office. The report is confidential. But the OSBI was looking into allegations Hulbert Police dismissed tickets in exchange for favors.

Another allegation is Lieutenant Casey Rowe was clocking in at two other jobs while he was on the police department's clock. Hulbert Police are not being investigated for allegations they're running a speed trap.

People who have recently complained about that, think it needs to happen. Marshall Lind: "The fact that they're not being investigated even though they have this reputation is discouraging."

The Cherokee County DA says he may ask for a separate speed trap investigation. In order to do that, he needs more detailed complaints from people who've had bad experiences there.

To report a complaint...

Cherokee County District Attorney's office.
