WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- Police say two escaped inmates from an Oklahoma prison have been spotted in Wichita, Kansas.
Sergeant Don Phelps says Truman Gross and Benjamin Beck were seen Thursday morning in a mobile home park, driving a white Toyota Corolla with Arkansas tag number 363-GDG.
Oklahoma Department of Corrections spokesman Jerrie Massie says the two escaped convicts are suspected of robbing a couple at their home in Bella Vista, Arkansas, and taking cash, credit cards and the vehicle.
Beck and Gross turned up missing from the Lexington Correctional Center during Sunday's midnight head count. At that time authorities said one of the fugitives has family in the Wichita area and might head that way from the prison south of Oklahoma City.
Beck was serving 12 years on a drug dealing conviction, and Gross was serving seven years for second-degree burglary.
