OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A new television commercial by gubernatorial candidate Bob Sullivan is riling a Republican rival.

The TV spot attacks U.S. Representative Ernest Istook's record on lawsuit reform. It's similar in style to another attack ad, that used comedic actor Gailard Sartain behind a mask depicting Istook in an attempt to dispute Istook's conservative credentials and show he has changed since he was elected to Congress in 1992.

The latest ad cites Istook's vote against a medical malpractice bill in 2005, saying the bill could have saved ``billions of dollars'' in health care costs.

Chip Englander, campaign manager for Istook, says the ad is full of ``lies and distortions'' about Istook's record. Englander says Istook has voted for lawsuit reform more than 60 times, including a ``yes'' vote on every major reform bill signed into law since Istook took office.
