OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Freddy Sanchez of the Pittsburgh Pirates is the first Oklahoma City University baseball player to make the Major Leage Baseball All-Star Team.

Sanchez was selected by Houston Astros manager Phil Garner to be a National League reserve in the all-star game hosted by Pittsburgh on Tuesday, July 11th. The third baseman is hitting .363 with five home runs and 45 R-B-Is, leading the N-L in batting average.

Broken Native Brad Penny, a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, also made the National League roster.
