OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) _ David Edwards misses the last three greens in regulation but still shoots a 2-under-par 70 to take a one-stroke lead over Brad Bryant in the Greater Kansas City Golf Classic.
Edwards shot a course-record 63 Friday. He started yesterday on the back side and had to scramble in the final holes.
The former Oklahoma State golfer hit his drive into a bunker on his final hole left his second shot about 50 yards short of the green. But he saved par with a 10-foot putt and stood 11 under for the tournament at 133.
Edwards' best finish on the Champions Tour this year was a sixth-place tie at the Regions Charity Classic.
