SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) -- The father of a 2-year-old Meeker girl who authorities say was killed by her stepfather has been arrested for domestic abuse.

Lance Briggs was arrested Wednesday night in Shawnee at the home of his girlfriend on a domestic abuse complaint.

Briggs is the father of Kelsey Smith-Briggs, who died last October.

Her stepfather -- Michael Porter -- is charged with murder in the death. Her mother -- Raye Dawn Smith -- is charged with child neglect and enabling child abuse.
