MIAMI, Okla. (AP) _ A 79-year-old Wyandotte man on a riding lawnmower was killed Saturday morning after he drove off a roadway into a creek.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Jack Riley McCorkell was transported to a Missouri hospital, where he was pronounced dead from massive head injuries.

The patrol says McCorkell was mowing a right of way next to a county road when he misjudged a turn and drove off the edge of the roadway into a creek.
