JENKS, Okla. (AP) _ Two girls whose disappearance prompted an Amber Alert were found safe and taken into police custody, authorities said Friday.
Investigators had believed that Tarron Hurley, 8, and Tionna Hurley, 11, were abducted around 4:17 PM by their mother, Tiffany Sharp [pictured], who doesn't have legal custody of the girls.
Officials announced a short time later that the Tarron and Tionna were no longer missing. Officials didn't say where the girls were found.
Police said Sharp took off with the girls in a blue 1996 Buick Riviera, with an Oklahoma tag number of LPK046.
Sharp, 31, was believed to have been assisted by another female, Toby Moulton, police said. There were no immediate arrests in the case.
Sharp's parental rights were terminated recently by the Department of Human Services. She also has a 13-year-old daughter who Sharp punched and choked before kidnapping the other two girls, authorities said.
The teenager was hospitalized Friday evening from the injuries, police said.
