OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An anti-prostitution activist who calls himself the "video vigilante" and his wife were named in indictments unsealed in Oklahoma County District Court.
The state multi-county grand jury indictment accuses Brian Bates of five counts of pandering, two counts of preventing a witness from giving testimony, one count of aiding and abetting in prostitution and one count of unlawful use of radio equipment.
His wife, Vicki Roberts-Bates, was named in one count Thursday of aiding and abetting prostitution.
Oklahoma County District Attorney Wes Lane brought the case before the state grand jury and will prosecute it.
Lane had filed a pandering case against Brian Bates, but it was dismissed in January on a technicality.
In the past, Brian Bates has videotaped prostitutes having sex with their customers and then has displayed the tape on an anti-prostitution Web site.
