Tulsa Man Arrested Following Body Discovery

TULSA, Okla. (AP) â€“ Tulsa Police arrested a man Thursday afternoon in connection with the slaying of a woman in Tulsa.

Police arrested 54 year old Michael Shearer, in the death of 44 year old Cynthia M. Hancock. Hancock's body was found next to a dumpster Thursday morning outside of an apartment complex.

Hancock had been stabbed, police said.

Tulsa Police interviewed residents and ultimately learned that Hancock was sharing an apartment with Shearer in the complex, Sgt. Kim Presley said.

Shearer was taken in for questioning and later arrested on a first-degree murder complaint.
