OU women's basketball season tickets hot sellers

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ More than 3,400 requests have been received for season tickets to the Sooner women's basketball games.

Officials say 3,404 requests for season tickets have been made and 903 of those were new requests.

OU director of marketing Matt Roberts says officials are encouraged by the response. Roberts says a program-record of 4,013 season tickets were sold last season.

The Sooners ranked in the top 10 and had a perfect season in the Big 12 Conference. Three of the top four single game attendance records were set.

For the February 12th game against Baylor, OU set a state record for a women's basketball game with a turnout of 12,112. And the home season finale crowd of 12,003 was the third-best in school history.
