The police chief for the Delaware County town of Grove has been demoted to patrolman. But the demotion might not affect Mark Wall much.

Wall has taken a job with the Delaware County District Attorney's office as a sexual crimes investigator.

The demotion was connected with questions of the 2003 purchase of assault rifles. They were apparently given as gifts for 19 Grove officers.

Wall had worked in the Grove Police Department since 1992.
