OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Rifle Association endorses Governor Brad Henry for re-election.

In a statement released Thursday, the ORA said Henry has stayed the course in supporting Second Amendment rights to bear arms and has furthered the personal rights of self-defense of our citizens.

During the recently adjourned legislative session, Henry signed a bill to make it easier for citizens to use deadly force in self-defense away from the home.

Several other states passed similar legislation that was sponsored by the National Rifle Association.
