One man is in the Tulsa County jail in connection with a carjacking incident late Tuesday. Early Wednesday morning, Tulsa Police arrested 21-year old Pablo Villanueva while he was sleeping in a stolen SUV.
Tulsa Police K-9 units spotted the stolen Cadillac Escalade near apartments at 4th and Mingo. The vehicle was stolen during a carjacking Tuesday afternoon.
Tulsa Police Sgt. Shawn King: "Officers tried to take him into custody, he resisted, tried to crawl under a car actually that was next to the vehicle, and when he did that he dumped what we believe to be cocaine underneath that car."
Tulsa Police say two men stole the SUV from a dealership, after overpowering a salesman. Detectives say they tied the man up, forced him to take drugs and threatened to shoot him. They later dumped the man in Bixby and he called for help.
The salesman spent the night in the hospital for observation. Villanueva faces several felony charges, including kidnapping.
