OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- At least nine people have died in Memorial Day weekend traffic accidents in Oklahoma, including four today.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Joseph Davis of Altus, Shane Bonner of Foster, Lena Longhat of Anadarko and Kassie Ables of Anadarko died in accidents Monday morning.
Troopers say Davis died when the car he was driving on US Highway 283 in Greer County ran off the roadway in a curve and hit a railroad crossing sign about 6 AM.
Bonner was killed just after 4:15 when he was run over by a pickup truck while he was laying in the westbound lane of State Highway 29 east of Marlow.
Longhat died about 3 when the car she was driving ran off a Caddo County road near Caddo and crashed into an embankment
And Ables was killed about 2 AM when the pickup truck she was driving near the Garvin County town of Katie hit an embankment and rolled.
Also Monday, Chance Holden of McAlester died of injuries suffered Sunday night when the car he was driving crossed the center line of State Highway 10 in Cherokee County and crashed head-on into an oncoming vehicle.
