OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Authorities say an inmate who escaped from a state prison in McAlester almost two years ago was arrested in Oklahoma City by members of a federal fugitive task force.
The US Marshals Metro Fugitive Squad Thursday arrested Scott Robinson, who was serving a 25-year sentence for second-degree burglary, robbery with a firearm and assault with a dangerous weapon at the Jackie Brannon Correctional Facility.
Federal marshals say squad members found Robinson and his sister in law, Angela Robinson, in an Oklahoma City motel room where they were trying to hide. They were arrested without incident.
Angela Robinson will face aiding and abetting charges for assisting Scott Robinson. Both were transported to the Oklahoma County Jail.
The fugitive squad is comprised of law enforcement officers from 11 local, state, and federal agencies.
