OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers found a 4-year-old year boy safe only a couple of hours after he was reported missing.
Officials say the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's office requested assistance from Highway Patrol aircraft Wednesday after deputies received a report that the boy and two dogs couldn't be found at his residence.
Authorities say they spotted the two dogs and the little boy playing near a pond while conducting an aerial search around US 177 near state Highway 59B.
Officials say pilots directed troopers to the boy. The child was found unharmed.
It wasn't immediately clear whether the child wandered away from the residence. The child's and his parents' names weren't released.
