OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma moved one step closer Wednesday to losing its distinction as the only state that bans tattoos.
The state Senate gave final legislative approval to a measure that would legalize and regulate tattoo parlors in Oklahoma. The bill, which already passed the House, now goes to Governor Brad Henry to be signed into law.
Supporters of the measure said tattoo parlors already exist in the state and that health concerns argue for them to be legalized and regulated.
