Tulsa Police say the city's 29th homicide of the year was a case of self-defense.
Officers say a 22-year-old woman, who had been a domestic violence victim twice before, shot her boyfriend Thursday night in the 700 block of North Xanthus.
Tulsa Police say the boyfriend came at her with a knife as she was trying to leave, when she fired one shot at him. They say her 6-year-old son was in the house and she fully cooperated with police.
They say the evidence backs up her story and they will send the case to the Tulsa County DA’s office, but do not expect charges to be filed.
