A US Marine from Oklahoma is back on Sooner soil after spending the past eight months in Iraq.

Lance Corporal Philip Fields arrived to Tulsa International Airport Thursday afternoon to find his excited family waiting for him.
He doesn't have any big plans for his time at home, but he is glad to be home. Lance Cpl. Philip Fields: "Just to spend time with my family and friends, relax on the lake. It's good to be home."

Fields will be home for two or three weeks and then he will be stationed back in 29 Palms, California.
