OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission supervisor who allegedly falsified time sheets and misused his state-owned vehicle is out of a job.

ABLE director Keith Burt says Michael Easley can appeal Tuesday's dismissal, but an investigation of the accusations against him continues in the state Attorney General's office.

Allegations surfaced three months ago that Easley claimed to be working when he was teaching two evening classes at Bacone College in Muskogee.

Easley said he drove a commission vehicle from his base in Claremore to his teaching job because the trips usually coincided with ABLE work he did in the area, thereby saving an extra trip.

According to time sheet records, he claimed to be working on about 25 evenings when his classes met.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper stopped Easley in October on the Muskogee Turnpike after it was determined he used emergency lights on his unmarked vehicle because he was late for class.

State law bars anyone from knowingly make a false claim for state funds and ABLE policy forbids employees from using their state cars for personal business.
