POCASSET, Okla. (AP) _ A 24-year-old Verden man is killed Saturday morning after the car he's riding in crashes into a concrete bridge pillar and bursts into flames in Grady County.
William Daniel Lynn was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash about 7:30 Saturday morning near Pocasset.
The patrol says Lynn was a passenger in a 1995 Mazda four-door driven by Jenifer Chastain of Mustang. The car ran off a county road and caught fire. Chastain and another passenger -- 22-year-old Lea Griffey -- manged to get out of the car, but Lynn was unable to escape.
Chastain was listed in good condition this morning at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, while Griffey was treated and released from a Chickasha hospital.
