Drivers face a greater risk of death on Oklahoma's roads and highways than in most other states.

A report released Thursday by TRIP, a national non-profit transportation research group, identifies 100 roads in Oklahoma, which have the highest rate of fatal and injury causing crashes. More than a dozen are in Tulsa County.

The report says fatality accidents in Oklahoma are more likely to occur on rural roads. They say one reason could be the design of the roadways. Frank Moretti with TRIP: "You look at alot of the roadways you drive on that lack shoulders, narrow lanes, no signage, that may have poor lane markings, each of those improvements will have significant factors over the longterm of reducing the number of accident."
