Traffic was been backed up for several hours Wednesday on the Broken Arrow Expressway in Tulsa after a semi truck flipped near I-44.

Tulsa Police say the truck was doing the speed limit when something on it broke. The accident shut down several lanes of traffic on the BA.

The driver of the truck suffered minor scraps and bruises.

In an unrelated accident, the northbound ramp of US highway 75 at the IDL near downtown Tulsa was also shut down for several hours on Wednesday.

A semi truck lost its trailer just before 9 AM, closing the exit ramp to traffic.

Officials say it appears the truck was going to fast on the ramp and the pin holding the trailer on the truck broke. The trailer hit a guardrail and damaged it.

The driver was not injured.
