OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Governor Henry is urging Oklahomans who suffered losses to recent wildfires to apply for federal assistance before Friday's deadline.
Residents affected by wildfires between November 27th and March 31st have until Friday to apply to the Federal Emergency Management Agency for temporary housing assistance and other needs.
The governor says residents shouldn't prejudge whether they're eligible for assistance and he says anyone who experienced a loss due to the fires should register.
The number to call is 1-800-621-FEMA or register online at www.fema.gov. So far, nearly 800 applications have been taken.
