NEW YORK (AP) _ Oprah Winfrey won't take on the hosting duties for this year's Tony Awards.

But the Chicago-based talk-show queen says she will attend the annual celebration of the best of the Broadway season. She's one of the producers of the stage version of ``The Color Purple.''

The Tonys will be held June Eleventh at Radio City Music Hall and telecast by CBS.

Nominations will be announced May 16th.

So far, there's no word on who will host the show.
