UNDATED (AP) -- The National Weather Service has reports of at least two tornadoes touching down in rural Oklahoma as a wave of thunderstorms moved across the state.
Dewey County Sheriff Bud Prentice says one small tornado hit about one mile east of Putnam in west-central Oklahoma and damaged several buildings last night, but no injuries were reported.
Meteorologists say another tornado touched down in rural Logan County in north-central Oklahoma.
Nickel- and dime-sized hail also was reported in several parts of the state Monday.
Meanwhile, parts of the Oklahoma Panhandle got a half-foot of snow, the first day of spring, while thunderstorms popped up in western and central parts of the state.
Precipitation was expected to taper off, with a return to dry weather expected for today.
