A Tulsa student is elected head of an international organization dedicated to connecting people around the world.
17-year old Dina Finer is the first Oklahoman ever to hold the office. Elected by 650 of her peers, the high school senior will travel around the globe as president of the top international Jewish youth group in the world meeting with youth and leaders in more than a half dozen foreign countries.
Finer not only wants to be a role model for Jewish girls and other teenagers, she's proud to represent Tulsa in her travels.
"I'm going to be meeting girls from all over the world, ages 14-18 I think that it's really gonna give me a sense of that I can really make a difference in someone else's life because I want them to feel they can make a difference in the world."
Finer says she represents future world leaders. She hopes to connect B'nai B'rith with youth groups of other religions as well to work together.
