Some of the biggest projects in the Vision 2025 plan are about as big as they'll be, with several of the buildings having "topped out" in the last few weeks.
News on 6 reporter Emory Bryan says construction on the BOK Center is really taking shape, even though these walls are really just the bottom sides of the building. From the air - it's much easier to see the shape of those walls.
That's the foundation walls for three sides of the arena that you can see, and some columns have been built that will support the structure on the entry level.
Just up the road, north of downtown, there's another huge job going on, the Advanced Technology Research Center at OSU - Tulsa. It's a 180,000 square foot building that OSU's president says will give the university a state of the art tool for research.
OSU-Tulsa president Gary Trennepohl: "To let us get to the next level in graduate research, and attract studetns and faculty from around the world and do cutting edge things in the technology sector, that's what this building will let us do."
And nearby, the Morton Clinic is well underway. It's another of the major buildings now under construction with Vision 2025 money.
And like the other major buildings, it's on schedule on and on budget. As for the scheduling of all these buildings, the work has been much easier with the warm and dry winter we've had that has almost eliminated construction delays.
