OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Legislation targeting pedophiles who use the Internet to lure victims passes the state Senate and is headed to the state House for consideration.

Governor Brad Henry's "Safe Net" proposal by Tahlequah state Senator Jim Wilson creates a full-time Internet Crimes Against Children unit in the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to catch child predators.

It also increases penalties against those who solicit minors online.

Henry says `The 'Safe Net' initiative will take action against pedophiles and make the Internet safer for our young people to use.
