Work has begun on a project to resurface U.S. Highway 169 in Tulsa. Crews began work Monday morning to resurface the roadway from 21st Street South to 51st Street South. Traffic will be slow going during the main part of the day.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says crews will open all lanes during the rush hours, from 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. daily to help ease traffic congestion. Crews will be working on the project around the clock and including weekends.
ODOT says the project should be finished by this summer.
