CONCHO, Okla. (AP) -- The National Indian Gaming Commission is planning an audit of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes to determine how they've spent profits from their casinos. The audit is to look at the expenditures from three casinos during the past two years and focus on money from the two Lucky Star casinos at Concho and Clinton.
Commissioner Chuck Choney says this is the first time to his knowledge that an audit is being conducted on an Oklahoma tribe. He says any criminal findings will be given to the FBI.
The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes have been in political tumult for years, and the audit was requested by tribal legislator Ida Hoffman.
