OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Electric companies are reporting that more than 67,000 customers have lost power in Oklahoma as a result of an ice storm that moved across the state today.
Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co. says about 25,000 customers in the Oklahoma City area have lost power, while the Public Service Co. of Oklahoma says about 19,000 of its customers in the Tulsa area don't have electricity.
PSO also reports about 5,000 Bartlesville-area customers and 2,500 Vinita-area customers are without electricity. The company says some customers may not have power back until Wednesday.
About 12,000 customers of rural electric cooperatives also lost power.
