A large load of chicken made its way to those in need. Tyson Foods filled some of its trucks with about 40,000 pounds of chicken breasts and sent them to Tulsa. Monday's donation will go to Green Country's hungry and also those dealing with power outages.
"You do lose a lot of stuff in your freezer when it goes out. About 5,000 families will get chicken as well as milk and other food products as a result of this donation," said Tyson Foods' Ed Nicholson.
The donations consist of mostly breaded chicken breasts. Tyson's next stop will be in Oklahoma City where they'll deliver food on Thursday.
