Yield:
Ingredients:
2 tbsp. shortening2 lbs. beef tips*
1 can beef consommé
1/3 c. Burgundy wine
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. onion salt
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
Hot, cooked rice
* Note: "Beef Tips" are 1-inch cubed pieces of boneless top sirloin roast. Personally, I like to use Certified Angus "Beef for Stew", available at Reasor's.
Directions:
Brown beef tips in shortening. Stir in consommé, wine, soy sauce and salts. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender.

Blend cornstarch and water; stir gradually into meat mixture. Cook and stir until mixture thickens, about 2 minutes. Serve over hot cooked rice.
