Tulsa Police said a woman is in jail after they responded to a burglary in progress near 15th and Harvard on Wednesday evening. Authorities said the woman was also wanted in connection to other criminal activity. TPD identified the woman as Janis Wells. She will face several charges, including two counts of first degree burglary, according to the jail website. Investigators said they were able to get a warrant for Wells’ arrest because of another burglary she has been connected to. Tulsa Police

Thousands Of Oklahoma Middle Schoolers To Rake Part In Virtual Career Fair

Nearly 10,000 Oklahoma middle school students will take part in a virtual career fair through Junior Achievement Oklahoma’s Inspire program. More than 4,000 of those students are from the Tulsa metro. The career fair traditionally happens in person but has switched to a virtual format this year. Paycom, Arvest, Hillcrest Medical Center and Tulsa Tech are some of the more than 65 businesses that will be giving insight and answering questions students may have.

Union Public Schools has announced it is shifting grades 9-12 to distance learning starting Thursday with an expected return to in-person learning on Feb. 8. This decision comes as COVID-19 cases are on the rise in those older grades. District-wide Union’s website said they have over 1,400 students and teachers in isolation or quarantine at this time.
