The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a woman is dead after a crash near the Keystone dam. The crash was a head-on collision that took place around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, January 28.
Troopers said Claremore resident Jonathon Cash was southbound on State Highway 151 when he crossed the center line for an unknown reason and hit a car head-on. The 24-year-old man had minor injuries but wasn't taken to the hospital, according to a collision report.
OHP said Cash's pickup struck a Buick Lesabre driven by Paige Clow of Sand Springs. Clow, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries.
"Even though we work a lot of these over the course of our careers, it is never easy to see the bodies, to have to deliver the terrible news to families," said Lt. Colby Overstreet, OHP.
The cause of the crash and Cash's condition before the wreck are under investigation.
