The ability to keep your beverages cold on a hot summer day is very important to anybody who spends a lot of time outdoors. The same thing can be said about keeping your drink hot when the weather is cold.
There are a couple of companies that have become the standard bearers for keeping the temperature of your drinks consistent during the day. Those two companies are Yeti and Thermos.
Thermos has been around for more than a century, having been found in 1904, while Yeti is the newcomer to the area, only being slightly more than 10 years old. Today we are going to compare the Yeti Rambler bottle to the Thermos Stainless King and see which is the best product for your money.
The Yeti Rambler has several different models. The one we are looking at today is the 36-ounce stainless steel bottle.
It has an extremely durable 18/8 gauge stainless steel bottle construction. It is durable enough to withstand anything you throw at it. It is a vacuum sealed bottle with a hefty bottle cap to keep the temperature of your drink the same as it was when you first poured it.
It has a no sweat design so that you don’t have to worry about condensation. The double walled insulation also means that you can have an extremely hot drink and still be able to hold the bottle without burning your hands.
The Yeti Ramblers are the first series of drinkware that can easily fit in your hand. They are perfect especially when you have your outdoor adventure. The following are the main features of the 36-ounce stainless steel bottle.
Thermos is the original vacuum-sealed cup and has held that reputation since the inception of the company. It has a capacity of 40 ounces so that you don’t have to continually fill your cup back up throughout the day, while still being small enough to carry with you comfortably.
It has a stainless steel exterior that is durable enough to withstand your workday without breaking. It is double wall vacuum insulation giving you top-of-the-line temperature retention.
It also has an insulated stainless steel serving cup that makes taking drinks from the thermos significantly easier. The thermos is cool to the touch with hot drinks and is sweat-proof with cold beverages.
The Thermos Stainless Steel King is an excellent solution for storing hot and cold beverages. This bottle utilizes the technology of the vacuum insulation for absolute temperature retentions. It features a push-button locking lid that enhances easy operation, and its large capacity can hold enough beverages for a large crowd. It comes with double vacuum insulated walls for temperature retention, either hot or cold. It can keep either cold liquid or hot liquid for 24 hours. It has the interior and exterior made of stainless steel that helps in keeping the bottle cool to touch with hot beverages and prevents sweating with cold drinks.
When it comes to ease of use, the thermos is a bit easier to handle. It is a bit slimmer than the Yeti and is simpler to hold because of it. It also has a serving cup that you can drink out of. In contrast to the large opening in the bottle of the Yeti Rambler, the Thermos is much easier to take a drink from.
Ease of use goes to the Thermos.
Both of these containers are built to last. The thermos is a little slimmer than the Rambler and a little taller than it as well. The Yeti is a bit more stable because of its wide base, and it can take more of a beating than the Thermos Stainless King.
Construction goes to the Yeti Rambler.

The Yeti is a beautifully polished container. The Stainless steel glistens in the sunlight, and it is fingerprint resistant. The issue here is the potential scratches and smudges that stainless steel can easily develop over time.
The Thermos Stainless King comes with a variety of color options, and its slender design gives it a look that is pleasing to the eyes
The appearance is a tie.
Aesthetics is a very subjective test. Because both of these cups are beautiful and sturdy enough to maintain the high-quality look that it has on the day you purchase it, it is difficult to judge the winner in this category. If you were to hold my feet to the fire, I would say the Yeti, but stainless steel scratches easily.

The Yeti can keep your ice from melting for more than 24 hours, and it can keep your drinks cold for well into the next day. The thermos can keep your drink cool for about the same amount of time, but the Rambler just barely edges out the Stainless King in this department.
Hot drinks will still be hot for around 5 hours before it begins to cool off significantly. The Thermos is billed to keep your coffee hot for up to 12 hours, but in reality, after 4 to 5 hours, your coffee will begin to cool off quickly.
Temperature retention goes to the Yeti Rambler.
Yeti is famous for its high-quality products, but it is also infamous for the price tag you pay for their products. While you will not regret purchasing anything from Yeti (they only sell incredible products) you should expect to pay top dollar when shopping for their equipment.
The Thermos Stainless King is a product that yields similar results, has more included in the cup, and comes at a significantly less expensive price than the Yeti Rambler does.
Thermos wins the battle of price by a mile.

Yeti Rambler is a known brand of products with excellent qualities. The 36-ounce stainless steel bottle is one of the Yeti products. It consists of 18/8 gauge stainless steel and is resistant to condensation. The product can be immersed in a dishwasher for fast cleanup. It has double wall vacuum insulation that keep your beverage hot. If you love an extra-large drinking device, the Yeti rambler is ideal for you. It has a wide mouth, sturdy, indestructible body, and a unique and bulky design that doesn’t roll away in the wind and a space of 36 ounces.
If the bottle is used in storing liquid other than water, I would advise you to rinse it with warm water after every use. For dishwasher cleaning, I would recommend using the warm water with mild soap and bottle brush. Also, for effective and thorough cleanup, you can use a solution of the vinegar and a teaspoon of the baking soda. After washing, let it dry by facing the bottleneck downwards to drain water out. If the bottle is painted, you should avoid immersing it in a dishwasher because any defect coming from the dishwasher will void the warranty. The uncoated stainless steel bottles are dishwasher safe.
The yeti rambler and thermos bottles come with double insulated walls that maintain the body at ambient temperature, regardless of the content temperature. Low-quality bottles instead have non-insulated single walls that are likely to sweat when filled with a cold drink. Also, avoid using these bottles on hot liquids as you can burn yourself while handling.
The yeti ramblers have materials of finest quality and unique design. They are safer compared to aluminum and plastic as they can be filled with a hot beverage without the chemical coating infusing in the drink. The 18/8 gauge steel ensure high dependability enhancing high-quality and long-lasting bottles.
The bottles are scratch resistant made from enduring acrylic, resin-based paint that is free from lead and other toxic substances. After some long time of use, the paint may scratch off. The bottle should be taken care of and frequent cleaning to avoid this problem. However, it may dent if dropped down but you should not worry about the safety since the stainless steel will serve you for a long time without infusing toxic chemicals into the beverage. The bottles come with a thermal cover that helps in keeping your drink hot at all time.
The truth is, you really cannot go wrong with either of these products. I personally love anything that Yeti puts out, but if you do not feel like you can justify a price tag that is nearly double that of the Thermos, then your answer is clear.
However, if you don’t mind spending top dollar for an amazing product, the Yeti Rambler is what I would go with. You will be using this for several years down the line.
