Bartlesville city leaders will hold a special meeting Thursday night to develop a plan as the state begins to slowly reopen.

City councilors will have a videoconference at 7 p.m. to review Bartlesville's COVID-19 mitigation measures.

The council could possibly amend recently enacted city measures to put Bartlesville in line with Governor Stitt's three-phase "Open Up and Recover Safely" plan.

The Governor's plan will allow restaurants, movie theaters, gyms and several other businesses to reopen Friday, May 1.

The Bartlesville COVID-19 economic development task force will update the council after it met for the first time on Saturday. The task force was created to focus on business retention, small business assistance during the COVID-19 crisis and a path to eventual economic recovery when the crisis has passed.

The city will livestream the meeting on its website.
