1 Dead After Broken Arrow Crash, Police Say

Broken Arrow Police said one person died after a crash Friday morning.

This happened near East Omaha Street and South 209th East Avenue around 1 a.m. Friday.

Police said a single vehicle left the road while going west on Omaha and hit a tree.

Officers said the driver, 49-year-old Dewayne Lawhead, died from his injuries and was the only person in the vehicle.

Police said speed was a possible factor in the crash.

Police are still investigating the crash.
