Delaware County Community Partnership is hosting a free, drive-thru Narcan training and distribution event to help prevent overdose deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic. Having a Narcan kit could save a life during these tough times as stress and social isolation are linked to increased opioid use and relapse.
The event will be open to the public and those 18 years of age or older will be able to drive up, receive a quick overview on overdose signs and symptoms, receive instruction on how to administer Narcan and then receive a free Narcan kit and literature. Those attending the event will be able to stay in their vehicle the entire time.
The event will be held on Tuesday, June 9th at the Northeast Tech Center in Kansas, OK (450 N US-59, Kansas, OK 74347). The event will run from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. or until all kits have been distributed.
