Okla. Commissioner Of Health Issues Advisory For Tulsa Trump Rally Attendees

The State Health Commissioner is warning President Trump supporters to get tested for COVID-19 before and after attending the campaign rally on Saturday in Tulsa.

Oklahoma Health Commissioner Lance Frye said if supporters attend the rally, they have an increased chance of contracting and spreading COVID-19.

He suggested attendees wear face masks and try not to get too close to others during the rally.

President Trump supporters have been camping out, sleeping in tents, right outside of the BOK Center in Tulsa where the rally will be held Saturday night at 7 p.m.

This week, the Trump campaign announced masks and hand sanitizer will be given out at the rally and temperatures will be checked.

The BOK Center said installation begins Wednesday on more than 500 hand sanitizer stations for Saturday’s rally. That’s enough for 500,000 uses.

It’s not mandatory for supporters to wear masks, but they do have to sign a waiver agreeing not to sue the BOK Center if they contract COVID-19.

A judge just rejected a lawsuit that would’ve made masks a requirement.

The venue seats 19,000 people.The Trump Campaign said it’s already expecting tickets to be sold out and other venues options are being explored for for overflow crowds.
